1. Overview

Gradly provides student health insurance plans designed for international students studying in the U.S. Due to the nature of our insurance services, cancellations and refunds are strictly limited to specific conditions outlined below.

By purchasing a policy through Gradly, you acknowledge and agree to this Cancellation & Refund Policy.

2. Cancellation & Refund Eligibility

A customer is entitled to cancellation and a refund in the following case:

A. University Waiver Rejection (Initial & Reappeal Process)

  • If a university rejects the student's waiver request and a reappeal is not an option, the customer may request a full cancellation and refund.
  • If the waiver request is denied, and the student has the option to reappeal, they must do so.
  • If the waiver remains denied after reappealing, the student may request cancellation and a refund of the premium paid.
  • Proactive Reporting Required: The student must report the waiver rejection promptly. Failure to notify Gradly in a timely manner will affect refund eligibility (see Section 2B below).

B. Failure to Report Waiver Rejection

  • If the student fails to proactively report their waiver rejection, Gradly will retain the premium for the duration the policy remained active.
  • Only the remaining premium (unused policy duration) will be refunded.

3. Non-Refundable Situations

Under no other circumstances will Gradly approve a refund or cancellation request, including but not limited to:

  • Personal preference changes (e.g., deciding not to use the insurance).
  • Obtaining alternative coverage after purchasing a Gradly plan (unless the university waiver rejection applies).
  • Early departure, visa issues, or withdrawal from the university.
  • Partial usage of benefits (If the policy was used for claims, even once, no refund will be issued).
  • Misinterpretation of coverage details (Customers must review their policy before purchasing).

4. Refund Processing

  • Eligible refunds (for waiver rejection cases) will be processed within 5-10 business days after verification.
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at the time of purchase.

5. How to Request a Cancellation & Refund

To initiate a cancellation and refund, customers must:

  • Send a formal cancellation request via registered email to insurance@gradly.us.
  • Provide supporting documents, including official waiver rejection proof from the university, proof of enrollment in an alternative health insurance plan, and proof of waiver approval using the alternative insurance plan.
  • Allow 1-2 business days for Gradly to review the request and provide a response.

6. Changes to This Policy

Gradly reserves the right to update or modify this Cancellation & Refund Policy at any time. The latest version will be posted on our website, and continued use of our services implies acceptance of any changes.
